Geoffrey London is emeritus professor of Architecture at the University of Western Australia where he was previously dean and head of school. He is a professorial fellow at the University of Melbourne, an adjunct professor at Monash University, and a life fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects. He previously held the positions of Victorian Government Architect (2008–14) and Western Australian Government Architect (2004–8). He maintains a role as a consultant on urban design, architecture, design review and architectural competitions.

In his time as Victorian Government Architect, his office initiated, and he chaired, the Victorian Design Review Panel, reviewing and adding value to significant government and private sector projects. He chaired the City of Fremantle Design Advisory Committee from its inception for a period of ten years and was also a member of the City of Cockburn Design Review Panel. While in Melbourne he served on design advisory committees for the Melbourne, Monash and RMIT Universities and is currently a member of the Victorian, New South Wales, Western Australian, and South Australian Design Review Panels.

Geoffrey has been involved in advising the state governments of Western Australia and Victoria on a wide range of projects, from the scale of major urban renewal to the complexity of major new tertiary hospitals. He has advised on issues such as urban design, design quality, project procurement, heritage, master planning, housing, sustainability, and development strategies, and been responsible for setting up design workshops on key, large-scale projects such as Elizabeth Quay in Perth, the Art Gallery of Western Australia, Federation Square East in Melbourne, and the cultural precinct for The University of Western Australia.
